Mystery Faux Meat

So I've had this lurking in my pantry since May (got it from Food Fight while in Portland). Any suggestions on what I can make with it? Has anyone out there ever used this product? My goal is to do something with it in the next week or so. I think I'm up for the challenge....

After all it's the Vegan Month of Food! More tomorrow on what's been cooking.

looks interesting. maybe a pot roast if you have a crock pot? celery, potatoes, carrots, onions, veggie stock, fresh herbs maybe?

i use these when i make fake doro wot (spicy ethiopian stew). i just hydrate them in veggie broth and then squeeze it out. they're also good in anything that has a nice coconutty broth, since they soak it up--so a thai curry is a perfect use for them.

I have had soy steaks and hydrated them in water, squeezed them out like kitee said and then I added salt and pepper and coated them with crumbs (like German "Schnitzel")

ooh, those vegeUSA products are great (though some do have whey protein). How about cut them up into chunks and make a "chicken" pot pie with other veggies.

Looks like wheat gluten sheets, my grandmother makes this with shitake mushrooms and a gravy kind of sauce.
