A Taste of Things to Come...

I have been desperately trying to catch up on everyone's blogs (I'll get there, promise!), but it has been so gorgeous outside today that I had to get out and enjoy it for a little while. I just got the book Striking at the Roots: A Practical Guide to Animal Activism and enjoyed relaxing on a blanket in the sun and reading about vegan outreach techniques, such as leafleting! Yesterday I was busy getting ready for our Vegan Sweets and Eats Potluck party. It was such a great time, I promise a post by tomorrow night. But here's a sneak peak.... what could be hiding inside my cupcake? (thanks mom for finding this for me!)

Why they're vegan chocolate mint lentils! And this information may be of some help to you later... radius = 7mm; height = 4.5 mm; cubic close packing structure (ok, not really, just wanted to use a mineralogy term to show how nerdy I am)

Now get away from your computer and enjoy what's left of the weekend!

I seriously thought that was a real cupcake. I kid you not! I need to order some of those lentils. I heard about them last year and never got around to doing it. Hey, the cake truffles look good too. Sorry I have been last visiting. Been busy doing grandma stuff. Brandie just posted a video of their last ultra sound. It is so cool to see my little grandbaby live! Check it out when you need a smile. :o) Glad you are having some great weather. We are too. Today was gorgeous,88 degrees and blue skies! You just gotta love Santee, Ca.

The cupcake is so adorable. I'm not even entirely sure what a chocolate lentil is, but they look good.

...and all this talk of nice weather is making me sad. It's 1 degree outside right now.

Okay, I'm going to follow your suggestion and get off the computer, right now! (Except it's because I have some dishes to wash...)

But first I have to say that that cupcake is adorable, and what's inside it looks yummy too!

Have a good night :)

What an adorable cupcake jar! I've heard of the lentil mints, but I've not yet tried them. Did you order or find them somewhere?

gorgeous!

You are so lucky you have some sunshine and nice weather to enjoy!

I've pretty much given up the idea that I can ever catch up with blogs. In the last couple of months, the quantity has officially exceeded my brain capacity... so I think I'm going to become a much more random bloghopper from now on...

Mmmmmm! Where'd y'all find the cupcake?? I bought a similar one from Harts 'n' Crafts in Waco - except the icing is swirly :)

My mom found me those mint lentils one year at SuperTarget. They remind me of M&Ms :o). The cupcake is adorable!

::sigh:: To live in Texas! Yesterday (Sunday) I went for a walk in 20 degree weather with rain and wind beating in my face. It doesn't get better than that, no siree.

I forgot all about mint lentils. I think that was my brain trying not to suffer from all the losses since going vegan. Haha Now I don't have to suffer anymore! I can't wait to read more. :)

Sorry I've never responded to this.

Near Hobby Airport, crazily enough 13 miles from Montrose! If I were to drive 13 miles in Bozeman I'd be in another city. :)

I'm sure we'll still hang out though. I love Montrose! I got my first tattoo there. :)
