The Last Batch .... Sniff

One month from today I'm getting married! I want to be as healthy as possible for the "big day" (wow, that sounds cheesy) so for the next 31 days, there will be no more of this stuff....

Last night I made my final batch of sweets (okay, I will be making an exception on my upcoming birthday and also at my wedding shower). These are the Happy Vegan Chocolate Chip cookies from vegweb. I love them, so tender and yummy with a hint of cinnamon. I think I ate three right out of the oven for that warm cookie gooeyness. A perfect goodbye to sugar and sweets. The focus for the next month will be fresh fruits, veggies, and whole grains (something I usually do anyways). And no, I'm not trying to lose weight or anything to fit into my dress, I just want my immune system to be strong, my skin to be radiant, and my energy level high for all the wedding events.

Hopefully putting this information in blogworld will help me stay true to this diet/detox/craziness!!

aww, such a bittersweet goodbye - although you'll be without those cookies for a bit, take comfort in knowing that you're doing it to be as healthy as possible for your big wedding day. and remember, you'll soon be able to indulge in the cookies again soon :0)

Good luck with your staying healthy goal. Just remember, there will be plenty of wedding cake to indulge in once the vows have been spoken. And, you can still bake cookies, just send them all my way when they're done!

Hi Noodle,
I think that's a great idea to be healthy and strong with all the craziness and busy-ness that weddings bring along. Congrats on your almost-wedding. I hope it goes great. It'll be fun to see what you cook up, even without the sweets.

It's been a long time since I baked cookies. Seeing the picture of cookies, I'm now craving to bake some cookies!

These cookies look grand! I am in the mood for sugar although I shouldn't endulge. :o) 22 days until Brandie gets married. We went last night to get her bustle on her dress done and darn if they don't have to take the dress in. I told her no more weight loss! She hasn't been trying and has been eating really well, but I think the stress got to her and she lost weight anyway. I can't wait for us to share pictures of each other's celebrations.

Oh, boy, only a month away! I think that's a good meal plan idea. You'll be so busy from now until THE DAY. I've known so many people who get sick right before their wedding. Enjoy those yummy looking cookies!

I'm with you on being as healthy as possible for your wedding day. Wait, does this mean no sweets at all, even at showers, rehearsals, etc? Anyway, we're here to keep you strong!

Oh, here's some wedding day advice from me. Whatever you do, DON'T do as I did and eat tons of raw veggies on your wedding day! Let's just say my stomach expanded by several sizes right before the wedding... =)

Love will keep you radiant no matter what you eat! Just keep eating foods that make you happy and keep you feeling good, if that's a cookie now and again, so be it! And seriously, those cookies? Perfection. Yum. I'd definitely be eating those, wedding dress be damned, wrap me in a mumu and call it a day.

How exciting! Whether or not you detox you will be radiant & high energy because it will be your wedding day, though, I think it's probably a good idea. Happy detoxing!
