Daring Bakers Challenge: Tuile Cookies

Tuiles so light so crisp
being a daring baker
you lifted my heart

No reinventing
Yum yum recipe and tools
I cut out my heart

Patience played its part
one broken for one intact
heart flutters each drop
Whipped a mango mousse
into shape you were molded
now i heart agar

Topped with raspberries
endless possibilites
a heart shape five ways

Hope you understood
my haiku lyric journey
tuile around my heart

This month's challenge is brought to us by Karen of Bake My Day and Zorra of 1x umruehren bitte aka Kochtopf. They have chosen Tuiles from The Chocolate Book by Angélique Schmeink and Nougatine and Chocolate Tuiles from Michel Roux.

I really like your tuile cookies. They are very pretty. I live in Texas, too. If you get a chance check out my blog. Hope you visit.

Yum, mango mousse. Can't wait for mangoes to arrive here, hopefully in about 3 months.:)

I love your haikus! What a beautiful idea. They look lovely! I wanted to buy me a mango the other day, just because...and they were 13E a piece! I will enjoy your mousse "virtually"

They are so lovely! It must have been so much work, but they are so pretty it was definitely worth it.

Wow, all the pictures look gorgeous. The last one with mousse, raspberries and the cookies in the dessert cup is making my mouth water!

This is making me want to try to make tuile cookies, though I will probably end up with a broken cookie mess!

Your lovely cookies
Make me drool on my keyboard
Hope it still works, ha!

Seriously, though, those are beautiful and delicious-looking! As for raw cookbooks, Raw Food Made Easy is great because none of the recipes require a dehydrator. It's kind of like raw food for dummies....I don't have a dehydrator either. But sometimes I'll borrow my parents'.

Thanks for your comment. I know what you are going through. I did the same thing. If you have any questions just drop me a line. maria[dot]rossman[at]gmail[dot]com I'll be happy to answer them. There is a good book out there too that advocates a vegan diet for the same issues. It's out of print but I found it at the library. Send me an email if you want and I'll get you the name.
